Wholesale BBQ Charcoal Briquettes for Importers and Distributors

PT Dharma Artha Nusantara (PT DAN) supports importers, distributors, wholesalers, retail buyers and foodservice suppliers sourcing BBQ charcoal briquettes from Indonesia.

PT DAN is an Indonesian exporter, trading and coordination company, not the manufacturer. We coordinate buyer requirements with selected production partners and align the product, packaging, quality-review and export process for each confirmed order.

BBQ product scope

The current BBQ Basic catalogue reference is described as hardwood charcoal mixed with coconut charcoal granules. It must not be presented as a 100% coconut-shell-charcoal product.

Item Current catalogue reference
Application BBQ and grilling
Raw-material description Hardwood charcoal mixed with coconut charcoal granules
Published formats Big hexagon and big cube
Published moisture Maximum 8%
Published ash 8–15%
Published fixed carbon Minimum 70%
Published calorific value More than 6,500 kcal/kg

These are catalogue discussion values, not an automatic shipment guarantee. The selected format, tolerances, packaging and acceptance criteria must be confirmed in the quotation and written order specification. See the full product overview and specification page.

Big hexagon and big cube formats

Large-format briquettes are intended for BBQ and grilling applications. Published barbecue hexagon references include 50 × 50 mm cross-sections with different lengths. Final availability, dimensions, tolerances, piece weight and suitability for the buyer’s grill or foodservice application remain subject to confirmation.

Buyers should assess the complete application rather than assuming that one shape is universally better. Airflow, grill design, lighting method, handling, packing density and the user’s required heat profile can change the practical result.

Information needed for a wholesale discussion

Please define:

  • destination country and port;
  • distribution channel: wholesale, retail, foodservice or hospitality;
  • intended grill or cooking application;
  • preferred shape and dimensions;
  • retail-bag, inner-pack and master-carton requirement;
  • neutral or private-label packaging requirement;
  • target order quantity and purchasing schedule;
  • sample, report or inspection priorities;
  • preferred Incoterm and delivery window.

PT DAN uses this information to coordinate product feasibility and a formal offer. The website does not promise local stock, a standard price, a fixed minimum order quantity or a universal delivery schedule.

Evaluate a representative sample

For BBQ distribution, the sample review should reflect real handling and grilling conditions. Buyers can record:

  • dimensions and unit consistency;
  • chips, cracks, dust and transport breakage;
  • lighting method and time;
  • smoke, odour, sparks or cracking;
  • time to usable heat and heat stability;
  • fragmentation during use;
  • ash behaviour and unburned residue;
  • packaging strength and moisture protection.

Use the sample evaluation checklist to standardise the test. Laboratory parameters and practical grilling observations answer different questions; neither should be substituted for the other. Learn how to review supporting reports in the COA and laboratory report guide.

Packaging for retail and foodservice channels

Packaging should match the distribution channel, handling conditions and destination-market labelling requirements. PT DAN can coordinate discussion of inner protection, retail packaging, master cartons, pallets, stretch film and container loading with the selected production partner.

Private-label or buyer-brand packaging is subject to artwork approval, commercial feasibility and the order-specific minimum quantity. Review the packaging page and private-label packaging checklist before approving print files.

Export and shipping coordination

The commercial workflow normally covers:

  1. buyer application and destination review;
  2. product and format confirmation;
  3. sample or evidence plan where agreed;
  4. quotation and Incoterm selection;
  5. packaging and artwork approval where applicable;
  6. written specification and acceptance-point confirmation;
  7. production-partner and export-document coordination;
  8. shipment preparation and document handover.

FOB and CIF allocate cost and responsibility differently and should not be compared on headline price alone. Use the FOB vs CIF buyer guide and Order & Shipping to prepare the logistics discussion.

PT DAN’s role

PT DAN provides a structured Indonesian commercial and coordination point for:

  • clarifying the buyer’s BBQ application and channel;
  • coordinating available catalogue formats with selected production partners;
  • aligning samples, specifications and packaging;
  • coordinating available quality evidence and agreed inspection steps;
  • supporting the confirmed export and shipment workflow.

PT DAN does not disclose the production partner’s identity. Availability, commercial terms and order-specific documentation are confirmed during the formal transaction.
